Warm Anjou pear with that warms you inside. — 5 years ago
Medium ruby, ripe cherries, cassis, boysenberry, pepper and spice on the nose, medium body with soft tannins in the palate, with tons of vibrant red and black fruit, mint, clove, baking spice, pencil lead on the palate. $15 at Schneider’s warehouse sale, a steal. — 5 years ago
Wow just wow. Really incredible stuff happening here. A medium straw color in the glass with effusive small bubbles that are plentiful. Unmistakably Côte des Blancs on the nose with delicate white tea and minerality initially. Pears, green apples, and the suggestion of caramel. Seriously these aromas are amazing. Right out of the gate and this is already a spectacular champagne.
You have to love these champagnes with a large amount of reserve wine. Mainly based on the 2013 vintage but with 24% from 2012 and 27% from 2014. From Premier Cru plots in Vertus, Villeneuve, and Mont Aime. Really nice acidity that is zippy but not quite bracing despite the 3.5 g/l dosage. Three years on lees which contributes to the maturity and stately nature of the wine.
Medium bodied with clear finesse throughout. When it touches your tongue, you will be excited. A citrus heavy palate featuring honey and herbs. A touch of pepper along with some earth notes. Ridiculously long finish. This is a master crafted champagne. One I could honestly drink all the time. — 3 years ago

A good wine for a meat heavy lunch. Great acidity that keeps it fresh and pure juice. Only made in magnum format by three producers who blend their respective grapes into this cuvée. — 5 years ago
Super easy to drink, really strong rocky minerality on the finish. Nice floral notes on the nose as well. Great value for $19 — 6 years ago

Swiss Pinot? Count me in.
A very pretty purple hue in the glass. The nose is so pretty and nuanced with lifted red berries and floral accents. There’s a nice element of forest floor and mushrooms here. Caramel and tapenade is intoxicating.
Smooth and velvety with bright acidity throughout. Just a bit ethereal and mysterious. Good balance but can definitely stand to be aged a few more years. Nice complexity and good depth. Very interesting. Interesting as in this is very good but also has a soul. Really makes you think. Blackberries and raspberries on the palate with dried herbs and more good earth. Medium long finish with a touch of spice. Very nice. — 2 months ago
