Mon plus grand HB Blanc 2001. Tout simplement magnifique. Il a été parfait tout au long de la soirée. Grand grand vin! — 4 years ago
Nice nose of red fruit, spices, nose that gets better and better in the glass, power and finesse also, balance and length are grand cru level. Hard to say which one I prefer vs 06. — 2 years ago
Blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon. Interesting wine based on the fact that age has really mellowed it. Nose features violets, asphalt, Forrest Floor with a note of dark cherry/cassis fruit. Dark berry fruit is muted on the pallet with hints of dark chocolate. Soft tannins on the medium finish. Austere. — 4 years ago
To Pauillac last night and what was a muted but enjoyable claret. More tertiary-driven flavors like tobacco and lacking some fruit. Nose was completely unyielding. That said, the classic Pauillac flavors in a well-structured wine - enjoyable with coq au vin. — 4 years ago
1 hour decant. A marvelous dark ruby red color. On the nose: beautiful notes of spiced cherries, vanilla, forest floor, charcuterie, spearment. Taste: smooth, juicy, elegant wine with red tart berries, cedar, orange peel, minerals, and a smokey tea dry finish. YUM! — 2 years ago
