Better than 2018, the 2017 is pure savoury meaty spice. This could pass as a serious burgundy. Light but powerful, mushroom funkiness, bright cherry. High acidity, med fine grained tannin, and very long. Fresh and alive. Reverberates….but also serious?? — 5 months ago

This is the third bottle each two years apart and this opened very nicely after about an hour or so
I’ve increasingly liked this wine although given it the same rating
It’s well structured aromatic and just an all round good expression of well made Central Otago Pinot
Probably open the next three each with a year or less further age — 6 months ago

Intense Pinot from Central Otago. Heavy ‘burned earth’ notes characterizing the wine. We carried this bottle back with us in 2018 visiting the region. Great pairing with pita chips and blue cheese. — 6 months ago
