Appreciation of wine is a personal thing for those of us uneducated as wine masters but this has been the most elegant poised and perfect Chardonnay I have tasted it had beautiful balance of fruit and oak, acidity and sugars it was way to young so perhaps as kiwi it was my new world palette but in no way was this a kiwi, Aussie or American Chardonnay it was white burgundy through and through — 5 years ago

The 2009 Clos Abella from Marco Abella won Wine in China Magazine's 2014 blind tasting of more than 1,000 wines, which was chosen by a panel that included 7 Masters of Wine and Jancis Robinson.
50% Carignan, 39% Garnacha, and 11% Cabernet Sauvignon from Porrera in Priorat. Potently dark aromatics of creosote, espresso, charcoal, blackberry, licorice and schist. Everything translates through to the palate adding some secondary dark chocolate, raspberry, and baking spice, along with a floral overtone. — 7 years ago
Enjoyed for the Masters 2022. Needed to be chilled a little. Smooth. Lightly fruity. "9.5+ -A" — 3 years ago
Dealing with one of the masters of Meunier here and it is positively gorgeous. Medium gold color with tiny bubbles and wonderful creaminess. The nose is harmonious, as is the entire package, showcasing chamomile, white flowers, and tea. Citrus rind and brioche explode from the glass, with spice and a rather decadent streak of honey running throughout.
Already set apart from other Growers, Mignon’s winemaking is about as natural as you can get and dictated by the lunar cycle. 100% Pinot Meunier, this is a blend of the 2014 and 15 vintages, it was disgorged in August of 19. Low dosage at between 2 and 5 g/l and you definitely feel it. Strikingly and gloriously bitter, this is just a joy to drink.
Dry with very crisp acidity, this has amazing texture and structure. The palate shows orchard fruits, plums, and rose petals up front with more drizzled honey and pears. Apricots and toasty biscuits abound. The finish is long and pure. This could certainly benefit from a few more years on the shelf but it’s fun right now. Pure elegance. — 4 years ago

A rather lovely old gold color with tiny bubbles. The nose features pronounced dried cherries and a plethora of apples. Toasted almonds and smoke with crusty bread. There’s an element of orange peel here that’s really attractive.
100% Pinot Noir from Ambonnay from one of the undisputed masters. It’s a generous champagne with depth and structure for days. Nicely elegant and perfect for food pairings. Moderate acidity and everything is just so well integrated here. The palate follows the nose with more ripe red fruits and oak. Great length on the finish. Outstanding stuff. — 2 years ago
