Macerated cherry, spice, cigar box, Mediterranean herbs, all come alive in this exceptional field blend of native varieties on Tenerife’s volcanic soils: Táganan, named for the area, from Spanish superstars Envínate. Intensely perfumed, it’s a stunning, elegant red with tremendous clarity and precision, clean and bright with great structure. The finish is long, with saturated sour cherry and a kiss of vanilla. Immaculate stuff, memorable. Decanting essential.

I generally like canary island reds ie listan negro quite a bit. This one veered a bit too austere for me. Some nice refined dark fruit and a lot of peppery herbs. Mouthfeel and finish are slightly thin, but the acid is certainly there and this still feels complete and well made. Just not quite giving enough. — 6 hours ago

Black wild berries and a little earthy funk on the nose, light on the palate with some richness of fruits (mulberry, black plum) and gravelly minerals with some very soft tannins. — 2 months ago

I’ve had other Bermejos wines, but never their rosé. My new favorite from the Canary Islands. Pink-orange hue, watermelon and strawberry, some citrus. Great fruit concentration and mouth-watering acid with distinct volcanic minerals and some sea salt. Winner for summer. — 17 days ago
