Really lovely. Smooth, but flavoursome. Perfect with or without food. Two of us sat in the sun and polished it off in no time. — 4 years ago

Nose is smokey, tarry and reserved initially. Nice spices. Some tea. But seems like it’s about to bust open in 30 minutes or so. Chestnut. Some mid season cherry and minerality develops. It’s getting floral now. Palate is juicy, ripe and dense with great freshness and expressive mineralIty. Concentrated and really complex. Worlds better than the Gallina. Needs maybe one hour open but terrific energy, density and freshness. Long as well. Balanced. Substantial tannins but velvety and just barely sweet. — 4 years ago
