Bocca Di Lupo Castel del Monte Aglianico 2017

Good Aglianico from Puglia. Nice sweetness and more polished tannins since my last bottle. Very aromatic nose. — a month ago

Puer Apuliae Castel del Monte Nero di Troia 2004

At the end of its life but still kicking. Powerful Nero di Troia with smooth tannins. Perfect lamb accompaniment. Starting to pick up some balsamic notes but those flavors go well with lamb. — 7 months ago

Castel del Monte Il Falcone Riserva Red Blend 1996

JKT
9.1

Interesting and tasty red from Pulgia, not sure where obtained. Dark Ruby. Forest, mushroom and ripe dark fruits, keep one sniffing. minerals and acids in balance with almost velvety coating on palate. Long lingering finish. Wonder how it tastes when young. Found previous notes, AA18 red blend Predominantly Nero di Troia with Montepulciano per wine searcher. Last bottle. — 2 years ago

Domaine du Castel

Grand Vin Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

From a magnum bottle.
The cork was challenging, too dry and crumbled on its way out....
A very powerful nose and a full body, tasty, exceptional balanced wine is experienced.

Trentangeli Castel del Monte Red Blend 2017

2017 vintage.
Established in 1998 by Antinori Family in Puglia.
70 % Aglianico, 20 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 10 % Syrah.
Deep dark and rich flavours.
Full bodied with dark raspberries, dark fruit, bay leaf, rosemary and dried herbs.
Give me Osso Bucco…all is right in the world.
And it’s not expensive.
