Black & blue fruit, cool, ripe yet with nice tartness & restraint and an earthy undertone.
Better on the palate with great balance between the cool yet sweet fruit, the quite present tannins and the juicy acidity. Everything comes beautifully together.
A typical, picture book Douro red.

Easy drinking, good dry not overly fruity wine — 5 months ago
Last had a bit under 3 years ago. Could use a ton more time. Probably would have called southern Rhone blind. Quite generous with lots of red fruit. Excellent acid and a bit of refinement on the finish give some sense that this is from somewhere else - in this case, higher altitude wines in the Douro valley that the producer uses in the best years for a reserva. Nice wine. — 6 months ago

Fio a Fio Vinho Verde, really nice for summer. Lite & crisp. Had at wine Wednesday with Steph & Emily. — 10 months ago
Mateus Dry Rosé colors up as a medium-pale orange, or salmon color. Red fruit dominates the nose - strawberry mainly - with plenty more of it on the palate. The acidity is brisk, and the fruit flavors are up front. It's not a complicated wine, but it is fairly tasty and may be your best bet for adding the Baga grape to your “have tried” list. It is blended with the Shiraz. — 4 years ago
