Green Cap. Exudes class. Nose gets confectionary after a while. Crazy confectionery. So aromatic and complex. Palate is like an orb with no edges due the kisses of sugar. Very refined style for a Sangiovese. Nose is beautiful with flowers, herbs, dark red fruit. The palate is actually surprisingly lighter than expected with tart cherries, even pomegranate and refined tannins to cap it off. Great stuff for a Sangiovese - enough structure and grip and yet doesn’t come off as “hot” or overbearing — 7 years ago
