A gift from @Benjamin Keator and I am so thankful. This wine opens up with candor, displaying a medley of attic musk, dried berries and firewood aromas. Tasting I get heavy red and black currants and dried cherries and cranberries. Glad to have shared with @Arden Barnett and my two roommates. — 7 years ago

It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a great example from Napa Valley.
Dark ruby in color, almost black, with a short purple rim.
Fruity on the nose with blackberries, black currants, black plums, cherries, cedar, vanilla, licorice, cloves, alcohol, chocolates, coffee, earth, diet coke, eucalyptus, leather, spices, black pepper, beef jerky and graphite.
Full bodied with medium acidity and long, long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, leather, earth, light vegetables, pencil lead, chocolates, tobacco, mocha, coke, herbs, spices and peppercorn.
Long finish with firm tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a yummy Napa Cabernet. Showing a great mouthfeel with nice complexity.
Still young and would benefit from 3 to 7 years in the bottle, and will probably be a 94+ point wine. (Although, it is very tasty right now).
Good right out of the bottle and better after 2 hours of airtime.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with cheeses and light appetizers.
Tasty and delicious.
14.8% alcohol by volume.
92 points.

Light, lovely communicative Pinot-- Vocal and fruit forwarded with candor and conviction... Not a surprise with this winemaker and vineyard master.. This Pinot announces itself and charms at the same time.. One of those Pinots that possesses the senses. Illusionary, beautifully bizarre, animated and theatrical. — 8 years ago
Plummy, vanilla, spiced fig and cranberry. Not shy on oak, but lush and plump with slight notes of baked earth. Jammilicious. — 9 years ago
Very fruit forward, juicy a little jammy but just right. Spicy little notes at the end. I liked this one a lot and look forward to returning to the winery. — 6 years ago
As an anti federalist at heart, I’d rather see the state names involved with this wine but I enjoyed the candor and overbearing sense of humor. — 6 years ago
Dark fruit, med tannins, not overpowering, lot 5 — 9 years ago

Well balanced, dynamic, old world style wine with hints of clove, milk chocolate (a pleasant surprise), and a fair amount of tropical fruit, pear, lemon, and yeast. In all candor, I’m getting different flavors every time I take a sip! — 5 years ago
