Started out fruit forward, plums, blackberries. After a little more air, it mellowed, and the rich tannins and earthiness shown thru. An hour plus in a decanter is needed. Then it is more of an old world Bordeaux. Stews, lamb, short ribs. — a month ago

Rich dark fruit nose. The palate is less rich with tart cherry acidity. It was great with the beet salad we had with dinner then also great with the steak and mushrooms for the main course. Very interesting wine. — 6 days ago
