This makes a great birthday wine for so many reasons. Full and smooth. Sweeter than I want but whatever. — 3 months ago
Blend of 83% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 4% Petite Verdot & 4% Cabernet Franc, aged for 17 months in 56% new French oak, deep Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits, oak and sweet spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and currants with tobacco and herb spice. Tannins are a bit chewy, long finish ending with fruit, oak, spice and herb mineral character. Nice! — 4 years ago
A toast to Rosemary Cakebread as we sit to watch season 4 of the CROWN, highlighting other incredible Trail Blazers - PM Thatcher, Queen Elizabeth II, and Diana. This cab can really go another 10 years plus, but enjoyable now with some decanting. cedar and tannins on the nose - casis and fruit on the palette. — 6 years ago
Very good. Certainly a pricey wine. Enjoyed thoroughly with family. — 6 years ago
Ruby red color with red fruit aromas and spicy floral notes, aged for 10 months in 40% new French oak. On the palate flavors of cherry, raspberry and strawberry with tea and earthy tones. Fine smooth tannins, well balanced with acidity, nice mouthfeel, long finish ending with earthy toasty oak character. Very fresh will continue to age! Nice! Pair with with a grilled chop! — 2 months ago
Saw @Ted drinking this so I thought I'd join him. I'm having the 2023, though. Not a bad wine from the Cakebread people. Very sour nose of overripe berries and musk melon. Super tannic, cedar, blackberries, bay leaves, minerals, and apple skins lingering on the long finish. Having one glass now, and will revisit tomorrow. It really tastes like a tight Bordeaux wine.

Ruby color with aromas of red berry fruit, forest floor notes and sweet spices. On the palate ripe black cherry and blackberry flavors, with some dried fruit notes, tea, toasty vanilla oak, cinnamon spice and cola tones. Fine mouth coating tannins with balanced acidity carry this wine to a long finish. Good now! — 2 years ago
Nice woody, dusty nose. Dark burgundy color. Slightly reminiscent of Cakebread but not as good or powerful. Overall, underwhelming for the price. — 5 years ago
Definitely a new world big cab blend. Heavy but very pleasant oak. Big wine, but Syrah is a nice way to balance out the heavy tannins of cab. Would definitely buy again, though pricey. Same category as Cakebread IMO. — 6 years ago
Pale lemon color with aromas of ripe fruits, citrus, vanilla and spice scents. On the palate complex flavors of apple, peach, pineapple and lemon citrus, well balanced with acidity on a nice mouthfeel. Long finish ending with oak, vanilla, mineral and citrus notes, will continue to age. A beautiful Chardonnay. Pair this with a tuna steak. — 3 months ago

Got this at Cakebread in Napa in February 2020 for about $45. (Their tour is amazing and they're so nice there.) This red blend is just so balanced and enjoyable. Some earthy, some berry flavor. Great with grilled steak and chocolate. — 5 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
Pale lemon with aromas of citrus, tropical fruits, honeysuckle and herbs. On the palate flavors of fresh crisp apple, melon, grapefruit and lemon zest, vivid acidity nicely balanced. Long crisp finish ending with a citrus mineral character. Very Nice! — a month ago
