A great experience tasting the 1997 kronos alongside the 2015 corison napa valley cab.
The winner for all but 1 at the table was the 1997 kronos. Deep red and blue fruits on the nose. Incredibly complex, with red and black cherry driven but fading fruits on the palate, leather, tobacco, spice, fine earthiness.. almost unnoticeable fine tannins but strong backbone of acid and a finish that lasted forever. Evolved over the night with the acid fading and the fruits surprisingly becoming more prominent.
The 2015 napa valley is no slouch either. Comparing to the kronos we got a wonderful fruit profile tending towards blueberries, medium tannins, and a pleasant baking spice note on the nose noticeably absent from the older wine. — 4 years ago
2021 vintage. Interesting Napa cab in the mid-$20's a btl resto cost. Medium body. Same winemaker as Vineyard 29 but somewhat different stylistically. Those light/medium bodied wines have more mineral-driven style whereas this has more dark fruit (blackberry, plum, blueberry) and slightly more body. Both ride on the subtlety fringes and, correspondingly, this is more complimentary than demonstrative. Still, for the price (less than $30 a btl resto cost), great value. 03.05.25. — 3 months ago
A 5th Growth from the left bank of Bordeaux, driven on 70% Cab Sauv and 30% Merlot. It has the finesse and the style of Pauillac wines. Elegant and quite complex, highly aromatic and has abundance of tannins while shining on the finish. Warm and active!
Chateau owners also have Lynch-Baches and Ormes de Pez. — 5 months ago
Definitely has the depth and meatiness of a Bourgueil Cab Franc. Almost an inky ruby in the glass, raspberry and bright cherry/ripe plum. More fruit-driven and less green than I expected but very drinkable! — 2 years ago
Have not had a Priorat of this caliber. Beautifully balanced. Carignan driven with Grenache, Syrah, and splash of Cab. Flavorful without being too concentrated or powerful. Elegant and lifted without being overly restrained. Minerality makes it mark. A great pairing for pork roast and broccoli rabe. — 4 years ago
One tough wine...my magnum has been driven across the US in a big moving truck and occasionally poorly cellared but after 13 years... balanced oak, cedar, blackcurrant, balanced char, slight leather, white pepper...a very classic easy-drinking cab. Great job Ken!! — 5 years ago

A great “uncork and pour” Toscana IGT Rosso, with a blend ratio of 51% Cab Sauv, 44% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. A truly traditional Bolgheri-styled super tuscan, known for versatile, bright and uplifting wines.
The v.2022 displays fruitier and juicy aromas on the nose driven by blackberries and cherry medley, with some peppy notes as well. The palate welcomes a fresh fruit-forward with medium-less textured tannins, once it opens for about 30 mins shows more subtle ripen red fruits and becomes smoother. Mouthfeel has a soft-end thanks to the MLF in steel tanks. However, the wine was aged for 10 months, partly in barriques used previously for its Ornellaia wines and partly in concrete tanks, to attain a nearly-perfect balance between the structure of its tannins and the fruit-forward expression.
Had this wine in a traditional “Trattoria-style” Ristorante known for Central Tuscany-cuisine. Simply Marvelous! — a month ago
