Apr 23rd, 2022No doubt about it Napa cab. Needed 3 hours of air to hit its stride. Initially very disjointed with a forest/pepper component and this odd sweetness. Then it seemed to integrate. I get a bunch of forest, vegetable garden, maybe even paprika, but very herbal. There is fruit with figs, plum, dark berry, mint. Overall very nice. Update on day 2: outstanding. Hitting on all cylinders with a ton of herbs, tart and dried fruit, great tannin, and spice. I’d rate 95 on day two.

Nov 7th, 2021Excellent. Rates right up there with the two other Spring Mountain Cabs that I have had.

Aug 7th, 2021Deep, deep garnet with light purple flecks. A classic dusty Napa nose consisting of ripe blackberries, cherries, and menthol. Dusty herbs and warm spices. A touch of smoke and stewed plums. Highly expressive.
73/16/7/4 CS/ME/PV/MB from selected premium vineyards from Rutherford, Atlas Peak, and Carneros. Honestly, what else do you need to know? We all know how Cain gets down at this point. Nothing but beautifully crafted wines. Ripe and excessively smooth, there’s enough complexity here to keep you pondering the absurdities of life for hours. Full bodied and insanely graceful, there’s nothing here not to love.
Smooth and elegant entry with plums and smoked tobacco up front. So much juicy red fruit and vanilla. Herbs are plentiful along with spice. Long sumptuous finish. Drinking nicely now but still has miles to go. Really beautiful stuff.

Cab driven blend. Bold without being overbearing.
