Côteaux Varois, Provence

Château Routas

Côteaux Varois en Provence Cinsault Blend 2020

It’s got that garrigue that’s just like, hey, I’m gonna be dehydrating some lavender and roses back here and everyone pretends like they are just letting garrigue do it’s thing but they really cherish it.
This has poise and nuance and beyond the dried flowers we could discuss perhaps a polka if polkas have grace (they can make you dance on air in the right arms) and just enough grounding. In all honesty I don’t necessarily reach for Provence when I want rosé but this is one I am into

Château Miraval

Côtes de Provence Rosé Blend 2017

If you like a well made rose that can easily be forgotten in your cellar a few years this is a good pick. Remains fresh to drink and some bitters from orangepeel make it even good with food.

Cuvée Spéciale des Vignettes Côtes de Provence Tibouren Rosé

Rose hip, orange blossom, wild strawberry, watermelon rind, Himalayan pink salt, tomato leaf, dried thyme, allspice. Lithe and steely. Paired with spring veg minestrone soup. I’m in heaven. — 3 days ago

Fleur de Mer

Côtes de Provence Rosé Blend 2019

I’m picky with my Rosé because I’m not a big fan but this one is pretty good! Evidently lavender flourishes in this region along with the Mediterranean Sea which influences this wine. Paired great with a shrimp boil on this beautiful day! — 19 hours ago

Same here, sometimes it's refreshing given the situation (mostly summer weather) but can't imagine to rate any rose anything higher than 94

@Jan A i agree. I have to say that I really do enjoy a Rosé of Pinot Noir though!
