Baden. Pinot. Kaiserstuhl. An old vulcano in the rhine valley. GG. Warmest area in Ger. figs grow there. Undertasted, ratet und non existent in the US. A suitcase import. Under imported. And overpriced when they are imported. Bought this for 20 bucks in 2012. Brown tinge. Orange zest nose, brown tinge. In the glass blueberries, bark, touch crushed marble, cardamom, hint turmeric, cherries and black tea. Great juice! Might go back May 2024. — 3 years ago
Volcanic? Definitely needs food. Lots of acid and minerals. — 4 years ago

Citrusy almond notes. On the palate M intensity with stone fruit - not unlike a Chardonnay but with more minerality salinity and bitterness (which is good). Like a lot of Mediterranean Whites it is Savoury Textural and mouth filling. My first wine from The Aeolian Islands (Salina and Vulcano) just north of Sicily. — 9 years ago
A nose full of cherries and spice. Soft tannins, leathery and with a nicely acidic long and clean finish. Went nicely with a beef stew. — 10 years ago
