Smells of pomegranate kernel taffy.

Pom-Blueberry, blackberry, all ripe, yet. It super ripe, black olive, white pepper, medium bodied, and wrapping up with a great wood/acid balance. Lingering acidity shows the length of enjoyment this wine has to offer. — 7 years ago

Lovely old blau. Dark garnet hue, nearly inky. This wine features a firm tannin structure that must be opened up properly. Decanted for around 2 hours and it was still evolving and moving. Coffee and chocolate nose, with baked blueberries and plum. Quite complex aromas. As it opened it kept its dense acidity and heavy body but brought on some pipe tobacco and sour cherries with baking spices. Really complex and lingering. — 4 years ago

What a wonderful little gem this wine turned out to be. A rather young blau but one that is light and drinkable with opportunity to age and grow in the bottle too. Has a ruby color, looks lighter body from the onset. Lively scents of rose petals and cola, but mostly red berries like currants and cherry. Drinks beautifully with a bright quality and low to medium acidity featuring some pepper but mostly sour cherry. Has a refreshing quality that I like. — 4 years ago
