Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend 2020

Southern Rhône valley (Gigondas and Vaucluse) so likely mainly Grenache rather than Syrah in blend. I liked, velvety and fruity but not too much. Mineral notes too. Moderate long finish with minimal tannins. For W just so so. From Haskell’s box. — 19 days ago

Côtes du Rhône White Rhone Blend 2019

Nose is definitely peachy and apple. Taste is a touch green, very dry, and bitter. There’s hints of what you smell in there somewhere too. — 4 years ago

Les Folatières Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay 2016

J. Kim
9.1

Still very pale and not evolved. The rich material and high acidities have not converged yet. The fruit here is not as pristine as those from the likes of Fichet and Montille. — 4 years ago

Grande Réserve Côtes du Rhône Villages Red Rhone Blend

Might have been a bit beyond optimal drinking age but still lovely floral bouquet and dried fruits and leather notes. Lingering smooth finish. Father-in-law shared it after aging for 15 years. — 5 years ago

Réserve De Bonpas Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhone Blend 2015

Dark cherry and a touch of Brett on the nose. Red berry and black fruit flavors with notes of earth, licorice and spices. Relatively light bodied with roaring acidity. There is a sour note on the very long finish that does lessen with some aeration. — 4 years ago
