Nose is a bit quiet. Some caramel, tropical and yellow fruits but seems backwards and tightly coiled. Lovely elegant minerals. Very pretty and restrained. Love the strong granite component and elegant and subtle tropicality. Palate is just awesome. Rich, elegant, textured, opulent and shockingly pure. Amazing finesse. This is a very elite St. Joseph Blanc. Terrific gras, so much energy and freshness for days. This is as good as St. Joseph Blanc can get outside of Gripa Le Berceau Blanc. Wonderful. Excited to see it develop. — 3 years ago

Young but will so great from this new rare Gripa St. Joseph Cuvee. More finesse driven than the Berceau and sits between that and the regular St. Joseph. Gorgeous nose of smoked meat, mint, hint of oak, big red berry fruit, floral and superb granite. What one wants. I love it. As it aerates a perfume develops. Palate is deep, structured, fresh and ripe. So clean. Juicy and substantial tannins but elegant as well. Long finish with superb clarity and sap. Really well made and also young. But just a terrific debut. — 5 years ago

Really coming into its own. Gorgeous nose of grilled meats, black olive, green olive, dark herbs. Mashed dark flowers. So layered, complex and ethereal. 2014. can be so good. Elegant and so supple with terrific granite freshness and fine tannins. Gorgeous berry fruit persists on the extended finish. Fantastic energy and depth here but also not as big as the important vintages. This reminds of the best off vintage Bordeaux from great estates. Really love this. — 4 months ago
