Expressive, dark, yet joyful.
black brambly fruit, with some dark plum, fig, walnut and some exotic spices. A hint of volatile acidity adds freshness. There’s a touch of dried orange peel, too and loads of dried herbs.
Mid weight on the palate with juicy, slightly rustic tannins, fresh acidity and good fruit. Savoury sweet, with some earthy notes and yet, somehow, brilliant freshness.

Just about to tip over the edge so needs to be consumed now. Fantastic fruit and briney nose, same on palette, solid tannins, leather, but the finish drops all the fruit and you're left with a weird leather and cardboard taste. — 11 years ago
