Beautiful Napa Cabernet Bordeaux blend. Would be better in 5-10 years. Really hankering for an aged rib-eye grilled over vine cuttings and spent oak barrels, caressed with rosemary branches dipped in rendered marrow and butter. — 5 years ago
Sandra Bravo’s tempranillo is juicy, rich and brambly. Nice fruit, acid and tannin structure. Would be amazing with roast duck and grilled figs. — 5 years ago
1995 drinking beautifully in 2021. Little funk to it, light, complex, nicely balanced. Paired well with aged ribeye steak. — 3 years ago
Tastes insanely delicious with 5J jamón ibérico and 12 month old Manchego. The wine is enhancing the flavor of the food and the food is raising the flavor of wine. This wine was clearly created to be consumed with these foods. I’m having a religious experience. — 5 years ago
Amazing cab from Moon Mountain in Sonoma. Smooth, fresh, despite the 15.2% alcohol. — 5 years ago
Leather, smoke. Drinking perfectly. Pairing with grilled lamb, fresh cranberry beans and roasted peppers. — 3 years ago
Pair this classically perfect 14-year-old Rioja with cheese and crackers that you share with your beautiful wife, ideally in a hotel room after you’ve been evacuated from your home for a week due to fires caused by lightning storms. Your appreciation will be elevated if you precede your wine with a few days of cooking paella for hundreds of evacuees and firefighters. If this is not a possibility, I suggest pairing your Tondonia with grilled lamb, which will play well with the wine’s tobacco, leather and cranberry notes. — 4 years ago
Beautiful, no, perfect verdejo from Rueda. 100 year old pre-phylloxera vines. Stunning. Piel de sapo, ripe pineapple aromas. Full bodied. — 5 years ago

So good with our exciting upscale Thai meal at Nari in SF. Pineapple, honeysuckle. Nice acidity that paired beautifully with our seafood centric dinner. — 3 years ago
