Heady floral and lemon peel aromas that call to mind high-end perfumes with background notes of granny smith apple, hazelnuts, flint, and white linen. 37% Pinot Noir, 33% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay.
Base of 80% 2016 and 20% 2015, aged in new to 12yo barrels for eleven months, and was then given two and a half years 'sur lattes' before disgorging. The malolactic fermentation was completed.

A lovely wine from a rather unheralded village (Villers-Aux-Nœuds), despite its 1er Cru status.

Manages to have both a wonderful richness while maintaining a baseline of briny freshness.

Very balanced and clean. Alive and tight. An exotic nose with slight notes of hydromel, dried apricot and vanilla. In the mouth, a surprising salinity and subtle bitters.
