See my previous notes from last year. By all accounts, this bottle is an analog of the previous bottles I have enjoyed of the 2021 “Vie Erte”. This time, I was able to track the wine over three days and it never lost power. The fruit and structure are in harmonious balance. I am so excited to try this vintage when it begins to show some secondary characteristics…but I’m fully expecting to see exercise some serious patience. This is what a lambrusco should be for me: juicy, velvety bubbles, a little dryness to keep you coming back for more. Drank before heading out to dinner only slightly chilled for an hour. Will be buying some more of this for my rack. — a year ago

2022 vintage. Medium body and plenty of punch. Throws in spices and earth. Solid pricing. Don't move much Barbaresco. If someone pulled this out from underneath the table in a decade tho, I'd have a huge smile. Can fight through the tannins now if you must. Crimson in color with the slightest bit of orange. Opened up over 3-4 hours, still has room to cellar. Rustic nose: herbal notes, bloodorange, cherry, but not overly aerobatic. On the palate, is more viscous than expected, with red fruit. Tannins are there, but acidity is just as prevalent. Much better when pair with pasta. (My first Nebbiolo from this region, tasted while in Varenna). — 10 years ago
