Excellent. From Portugal airport after having it at the Belmont. Everything you’d want in a red. — 2 months ago

A deep red color in the glass. Fruit forward. Enjoyed it with grilled steak. Flavors of blackberry, plum and pepper. — 4 months ago

Reserva Waterdog Setúbal Red Blend 2021

Red blend from Portugal, 70% Castelão, 30% Touriga Nacional. Varietals I have never heard of! Medium bodied, mild tannins. Presents tastes of blueberries, black current, spice, and mild raisin. Also, picking up tastes of a whole cluster wine. Enjoying the complexity in this bottle!

Waterdog Península de Setúbal Red Blend 2021

"Portuguese Waterdogs are a treasured breed, originally from the southern coast of Portugal, near where our winery originates. Waterdog red wine has a fruity palate with notes of red berries and a touch of wood. Enjoy it with barbecue, roasts and pasta dishes. — a year ago

Vinha da Fonte Touriga Nacional 2021

Actually a blend of Cab Sauv, Castelão, Syrah, Touriga Nacional and Alicante Bouschet. This wine is a very dark purple, almost inky. The nose is also dark, showing blackberry notes alongside savory tobacco, spice and earth, all in a very smokey framework. The palate of this interesting blend is nearly stunning. Tannins have a good grip, but the blue fruit flavors are amazing and the acidity leaves the sipper salivating. It seems bizarre to me that this wine cost less than $10. It drinks like it should cost much more.
