Az. Agricola Moschioni

Colli Orientali del Friuli Schioppettino 2013

New producer to me
Apparently he has been a benchmark for pignolo and schioppettino for a long time
Wine style is big
Wines get released after many years depending when he thinks they are ready
The schioppettino gave me the best impression
Fruit, spices(coriander seeds and white pepper) and a bit of incense
You keep swirling you will get more and more
Very long
Hard to find and a bit pricey

Moschioni makes some modern, polished wines but they are really well-made and have something special about them. Their Celtico Rosso needs a lot of time

I tried that too, they are all very fascinating. Strangely he only keeps a small amount for Italy..perhaps we are not the best payers🤣🤣

Kept a 2nd bottle of it and did not disappoint! Like the juiciness and reduced chalkiness that others have. — 3 years ago

Bussia Barolo Nebbiolo 2014

My fondness for Silla Sebaste grows with each glass. This is my first Bussia from this producer and it’s approachable on opening and opens up even more over several hours. Pronounced floral and cherry nose. Mouth watering cherry and other dark fruits, spices, and add a little smoke and leather from front to mid palate. The moderate lingering tannins start to take over late palate and dry the mouth through the finish. Wonderful experience with a lot going on. — 4 years ago
