Medium lemon color with golden highlights and subtle aromas of honey, lemon, vanilla, toasted bread, peach, wet stone and orange. — 3 years ago
Another great Orange wine from this Cretan producer. Very mild orange flavor but the hint of citrus just pleases. The nose is flowery and just perfume. This — 3 years ago
Definitely not white wine. Savory and structured Roditis with skin contact. Bergamot, quince, dried orange peel, tomato vine, cashews, hazelnuts, tannin. Organic. Dare I say this is a “classic” orange wine? Pair this with spanakopita when you’re feeling funky. — 4 years ago
Love! Orange, zesty, lemon, ripe pineapple with its peel — 7 years ago

2021 Assyrtiko from “the slopes of Algialeia” . So Good. Bright, refreshing, full of verve. Citrus blossoms, orange peel and lemon. Minerality throughout. A hint of sea spray. Reminds me of a Premier Cru Chablis. About $24. A bottle. — 3 years ago
Skin contact, Retsina Assyrtiko. More retsina than orange. Rosemary and juniper. Crisp citrus and pomme fruit. Pair with rosemary pork tenderloin or chicken cordon bleu. — 3 years ago
Blurred color of unfiltered wines. Sparkling mouth, even gaseous. Nice freshness. Rich aromas, typical of low-interventionist wines: cider, citrus fruits, apricots, nuts, almonds. We are on a cuvée that clearly puts the crunch of the fruit in the spotlight, with a concentration that tends towards meat aromas on the finish!! Refreshing and very digestible. Great flexibility. Served at 10-12 degrees it is a superb happy hour treat. Not the complexity of a great wine but a crazy charm and great drinkability. 🇬🇷
Nez trouble des vins non filtrés. Bouche perlante, voir gazeuse.
Fun orange with stone fruity aromas, tastes like peach juice — 7 years ago

This is the unfiltered version. Fuller white. Almost an orange wine crossed with a less sweet desert wine. There’s salinity with good acidity and am almost cooking oil mouth feel. There’s a golden raisin, cumquat l, nectarine flavor coming through as well with orange zest citrus notes. The pallet is similar. There a good amount of complexity to this full flavored ‘white’ wine. Good for roasted chicken, pork chops, stinky cheeses and buttery fish. — 7 years ago
Dry, crisp, full bodied, medium acidity, blend of orange and olive oil bouquet, perfect paired with a simple, lemon-seasoned white fish (we had it with a grilled sea bass and lemon potatoes). — 3 years ago
[Tasted on November 24, 2022 at Home with Michael and Rachel]
Purchased during 2019 visit to the winery on Santorini. Grapes are sun dried for 10-14 days and then, after fermentation, the wine is barrel aged for seven years. Honey, caramel, dried apricot, orange peel, fig and raisin flavors. Wine is viscous and very sweet—a bit cloying after the first glass. — 4 years ago
From a hot vintage this explodes in the glass with ripe peach, pineapple & mango with some baked lemons and a healthy dose of steely rocky minerality. There’s a hint of creaminess, too.
On the palate this is also slightly richer, opulent, almost Mediterranean (think: Assyrtiko).
Round & ripe with peach, mango and some orange zest with juicy herby acidity balancing it all out. Chamomile and a whiff of honey and some crushed rocks towards the long finish.
Although fully Trocken, in this vintage this is much closer to a Spätlese in style.
I do prefer my Rheingau Rieslings drier, sharper, zippier & leaner, but this one has charm and character.
And it‘s delicious sipping. — 4 years ago
Nose of grapefruit and raw cotton, amber (amber, whatever that means). Palette has candied salted orange peel, gravelly minerality, a bit of rubber and honey and earth. Definitely one of our favorite wines, and this is drinking well. Also, Amber, who is she??? — 6 years ago
Excellent white wine, and totally different. Citrus flavor, with tropical fruit. Like a day of Summer, this wine refreshes, but its taste is unexpected and unlike what is expected from white wine. The nose is peach or lichee, while the flavor is mostly pink grapefruit or blood orange. If you’re okay with wine out of the ordinary, this is a great choice. — 7 years ago

Dry, mineral-y. Almost loved this wine, but wanted a bit more complexity. Still, imminently enjoyable. — 2 years ago
