There is a legend behind this grape that after successfully defeating the City of Troy with his Trojan horse, Diomedes is said to have travelled to northern Puglia, where he founded the City of Troia, planting the vine cuttings he brought with him. It’s a delicious wine bursting with dark cherry flavor with a nice long finish. Another nice grape from Italy that I am enjoying! — 8 years ago
Really good Chardonnay, not buttery, nice and dry. — 4 years ago
Apple, lemon, blood orange, peach and hints of pineapple. Great acidity and minerality. — 5 years ago
Mid Ruby turning tawny. Spicy perfume, a hint of violet, and with time notes of Rhubarb. On the palate easy power and intensity with red cherry and plum flavours. I have always enjoyed this Pinot Noir from when I first tasted it at a restaurant in Canberra 7 or so years ago. — 6 years ago

Pear? Maybe? Drank it in two sittings this time mom would be very proud. Also I got this one 75% off so don’t think I got all classy on you. Troy out. — 6 years ago

Very fresh and so easy to drink. Berries and a little fizz on the palate with a nose that is really close to Ashton Pinot Noir from Gentle Folk. Amazing wine. Must buy again. — 8 years ago
