A very elegant claret. The nose has cassis and black currants with some cedar box. The palate exudes black fruit with some anise and tobacco. Quite good for the price point.

1 person found it helpfulMar 29th, 2015This was a nice easy drinking wine. In mixed company it faired well pleasing the oenophilia and the novice alike. Sportin' tobacco liner, lightly toasted oak, black cherry pits and a smooth mouthfeel. It also showed elegant tannins on the finish.

Found myself in a trap, I think there are much more interesting, entry level wines, and with better price tag too. This one halthough its suede, velvety mouth and black currant smell offers simple ride, but who knows maybe mine autumn depression flatters all mine senses, maybe years it will show its claws ...cheers & waiting for the snow
