This 2010 Piazzo Comm. Armando Barolo Nebbiolo. From Alba, Italy I opened about a week ago.
On the nose there was cherry, plum sauce, strawberry, raisins, truffles, violets, balsamic and leather.
On the palate there was strawberry, raspberry, cranberry, spice, herbaceous, leather and clay minerality.
This wine was medium to full bodied, medium to medium + acidity, medium + fine mouthcoating grippy firm tannins that moved to a long rrd fruit clay soil finish. I hope everyone has been doing well and your weekend has been one of relaxation and fun. Please stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 9 months ago

It’s still lives! So surprised that this was still kicking, with a nice acidity and smoky meatiness on the palate, with hints of marinated cherry (in like, brandy), tar, and the color of Port! The nose still notes of fruit even, with plum, smoke, spice, and Tiva says, “an old movie theatre, or magician’s room”. After a couple hours, the ripe red fruits were exploding out of the glass still, with velvet and even florals hinted on the acidic palate. The meaty, iron flavors lingerrrr. — 7 months ago
