Square, Plumb & Level Libra Vineyard Pinot Noir 2018

A stunningly great Pacific NorthWest Pinot Noir! Incredible on the nose with a hearty, earthy presentation that flows into a full bodied but light on the palette tart red fruit forward sipper. Time to grab more of this!! — 6 months ago

Bogle Vineyards

California Petite Sirah 2017

Affordable, dependable, easy to find. What’s not to like? Reminds me of the old Italian/American brands from the North Coast and Central Valley from the 1970s, cheap, good value, but this has better fruit. Purple-red, highly extracted pigment. Jammy and minty notes in nose with a hint of funk. Raspberry, cherry and spearmint flavors in mouth, tart berry-ish finish on initial pour. Caught somewhere with a limited selection of wines? This will save the rest of your day. Tannins emerge after 45 minutes, fruit flavors meld after 60. — a year ago

Square, Plumb & Level Peterson Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Franc 2018

Big bouquet of plums and dark fruit. Initial medium softness of plums ( slightly sweet?) then a soft tannic dryness in the middle. Then a medium dry quick tannic finish. The wine has layers as you drink it ! — a month ago

Blue Eyed Boy Shiraz 2015

One of my favorite red wine brands from Australia. Rich and full bodied. Expensive but worth it. — 5 months ago

Schilling & Company

Excelsior Imperial Apple

It’s 95F outside, and it’s the end of the workweek. Does this can taste of heirloom cider apples, slightly sweet (no, call it “almost dry”) and kick ass at 8.5% alc/vol? Yes, yes indeed it does. Another superior cider from Schilling. Why can’t the national brands match this level of quality? Why indeed... — 8 months ago

Delicious! I enjoy cider. 🍎

St. Nicholas Commandaria Mavro 2013

One of the oldest wine brands on record. Lots of volatile acidity on the nose and ripe plums, raisins, chocolate, and hints of maple on the nose. Ripe and creamy on the palate. — 2 years ago

"El Picaro" Toro Tempranillo 2019

On the palate this one absolutely shines with blackberry throughout and so many candy, licorice, and liqueur notes that you'll be picking out brands. This one was really lovely in front of a roaring fire. — 2 months ago

Valley Floor Shiraz 2017

I think this is one of the best Shiraz out there for the money and located near the super premium brands that are 5-10x the price. Can’t go wrong at $35. — 8 months ago
