Island breeze, salt sea mist, oyster shell, beach flowers, citrus, green apple, caramel, lemon. I love everything about this wine. I should be on a lounge chair at the beach on a very sunny hot beach day and of course drinking this amazing wine. — 5 years ago

Washington Riesling is so underrated. Honeysuckle and apricots give way to pure petrol! The riesling at Dionysus was the oldest on the vineyard and really shows its 50 year anniversary of vines well! Sadly they were ripped out a few years ago — 4 months ago

A really funky nose that left you wondering what was in the bottle. And then, like a mist that lifts from the river - the tastes and nose showed up. A Phillipe Melka version of Washington’s best grapes. Power Bordeaux blend with Syrah added in. Soft tannins and subtle fruit kept flowing in and out. Vincent Dauvissat “Les Clos” 2014- A stunner. Power, intensity and an electric and tense palate that is clearly built to age. Shows an intense seashell minerality, sea spray salinity, rock moss and stone fruit. Exceptionally long and concentrated finish that coats the palate with its seashell and ocean mist persistence. — 2 years ago
