100% Pinot Noir from Bouzy, aged 6y on the lees.
Red apple, pomelo, chalky, slightly smoky, with some brioche and green hazelnut. There’s a touch of red berries, too. And cardamon.
Great depth here. And purity!
On the palate this is quite powerful, with a nice creamy mouthfeel, tiny & persistent bubbles, fresh, zippy acidity. There’s power here and depth. Very vinous for a champagne, very food friendly.
But also quite hedonistic for a 100% Pinot Noir, which can sometimes be too austere.

Nose of cranberry, cherry candy, black pepper and mint(?). Bright and juicy on the palate with tart red fruits and a touch of spice. Good acidity and a kiss of tannins.
