Albert Morot

Les Marconnets Beaune 1er Cru Pinot Noir 2010

At the end after quite a few transformations the nose of this wine tuned on a strawberry /raspberry crostata made with wholemeal flour
Quite a four square wine, but still with personality. A bit of cola and a balsamic something
Good length

Orange De Pic... Second Sylvaner 2016

Slightly cloudy in the glass and with a deep golden hue. Ripe & overripe apples, a bit of meadow. Nice texture on the palate with just a hint of tannin. Apples again and some earthy undertones. Nice expression and tension here. A lovely wine, bordering on the orange trend but not too extreme. — 17 days ago

Maison Albert Bichot

Clos Rousseau Santenay 1er Cru Pinot Noir

More of both intensity and elegance than the village level Santenay. Fruit is a little darker and rich and the aromatics and flavors are amplified. — 7 days ago

Cuvée Albert Alsace Riesling 2016

On its own a little flat but brilliant with food (langoustine with caviar and pickled onion) — 3 days ago

Baron Albert

Brut Tradition Champagne Blend

The Non-Vintage 'Tradition' Champagne from Baron Albert is a gorgeous effort from this estate that provides excellent value. The wine is an impressive blend of Pinot Neinier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir that opens with a bouquet of sourdough bread, white rose, roasted hazelnuts and kumquat. Lithe and light on its feet, the mousse is lovely. There are rich flavors of apricot, Pazzaz apple, lemon zest and baked pear. This shows impressive range and is a delight to savor. L'Enchanteresse Brut Rosé Champagne Blend

The Baron Albert 'L'Enchanteresse' Rosé is a blend of 40% Pinot Meunier, 30% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. This Rosé begins with aromas of white peach, mulberry and red currants, which all come together and burst from the glass. The palate reveals flavors of white cherries, teaberry and guava purée, which impress as they sit alongside lovely minerality. The astringency is gorgeous, as saline characteristics work their way into the finish. Overall, this is a wonderful effort from Baron Albert. Drink 2019-2025- 92 — 23 days ago

This was so good! A bit tannic but still had great balance. Would definitely have again. — 11 days ago

Pinot Noir 2016

It has been awhile since I have had a still wine from Alsace. I love the elongated bottle! Beautiful medium translucent ruby red in color..I let this decant all afternoon! Kermit Lynch tasting note indicated that this is ready to drink now!!
Really nice Pinot Noir..the fruit is there..tart
cherry..cranberries & raspberry. Earth and baking spices are the star of this wine..cinnamon..black tea leaves...nutmeg and crushed rocks. Pinot Noir from Alsace....who would have thought!! 🙃
