Tannic but not too much, fruit but not overly ripe, distinct dried flower notes. Ah, tradition. Really good old school barolo. — a year ago
It's an amarone. And of course it is not from Salerno but from Verona valpolicella.. — 2 years ago
Discovered this while touring Barolo. Rare grape. Excellent from front to finish. Starts with pleasant floral with pepper in the middle. Well balanced and unique. Taking some home. — 5 years ago
Pale-medium ruby.
Aromas of cherry, licorice.
Dry. Flavors of cherry, licorice, tar, soft rose petal. Rich, firm tannins.

Full and dark - nose of black cherries, plums, licorice. Velvety tannins, uplifting acidity. A little simple but quite concentrated. Not bad. — 2 years ago

Interesting and good. Got at a steal so that helps. What an interesting fruit note, nothing quite I have tasted before. Almost a blue fruit with a tinge of Syrah notes that semi blow off paired with that good Italian acidity backbone. If you see it at a reasonable price buy it — 10 months ago
