Dismissed by many as too jammy or too ripe, I’ve always thought this is the fun bottling. This ‘21 is no exception. Beneath the slightly over extracted ripe dark fruits lies quite complex aromas and flavors of figs, sweet spices, dark chocolate, smoke meat, and hint of balsamic. Rich palate but not overbearing. In a good vintage like ‘21, this can benefit for 5-8 years of bottle age.

Diora Pinot Noir from Monterey. Rich depth of black fruit nuances from Santa Lucia Highlands. Decanted to let it open up. Very enjoyable. — 15 days ago
Blackberry, oak, leather, cinnamon, and prune. Very fruity for something so bold, dark, and earthy. — 17 days ago
Rich and luscious. Blackberries, cocoa, and a hint of pepper. Fabulous bouquet and a satisfying finish. — 16 days ago

Silver Eyes
Great, super-drinkable meritage. Holds on to the rich character of the petite sirah, but nicely balanced with the grenache for a more versatile wine. — 13 days ago
