Nice, earthy red from our honeymoon in Sardinia. Wine tasting at 11 a.m. in the totally empty cantina for the winery! — 7 years ago
The nose takes you to a French bakery in the a.m. Apples and biscuits lead you into a road lined with minerals and smoke.
I do not have enough experience with champagne but I would bet this has only one way to go and that is up. — 9 years ago
Deep dark fruit!! Liquid Smoke....Cedar...Mocha...Milk chocolate.
Graham cracker ...Cassis...just enough spice to create a wonderful balance. As others have stated @Mike Smith magic! Tomorrow 58th Birthday...was going to keep tradition and do a nice long run in a.m....but Iowa weather has different plans..sometimes compromise is best! Could not have chosen a better wine! — 5 years ago
First liquid to my lips in the a.m.- win. — 8 years ago
Fruity to start with chocolate and licorice to finish. An amazing blend, mostly temparnillo. So drinkable. Fruity then dry. Like our friend Marco Servetti!!! — 11 years ago
When you wake up on a Sunday morning and it's snowing out the day before the first day of spring and you can't go back to sleep so you make some eggs that don't taste all that great and all you start to do is crave a glass of wine that's not going to hit you over the head at 9:30 a.m., this saves the day. Only 12% abv, with round fruit (although I can't quite tell you which ones) almost orange-like without the acid, despite the grassy acid and slight minty herbal on the finish. Am I making sense? Picked this up on a whim from Garagiste and for the purpose stated above, I'm quite happy with it! — 7 years ago
Chilean Sauv Blancs at mid-price rival pricey French Sauv. Nice full tropical bouquet on the nose. Tart and "minerally" finish (I'm still making up my own descriptors.) What a Sauv should be (at 10:35 a.m.)......."Makes me want to shirk all my duties and line up three bottles and re-watch all of Flight of the Conchords AND East Bound and Down and finish in time to watch The Pats destroy." Anyway, Sauv Blanc is my fave. — 8 years ago
