Wow. This is almost somewhere between a cote dor and a cote chalonnaise.
Nose is gorgeous.
It has terrific density and delicious fruit. Some elegant peaches. Nicely mineral and a hint of salt. Perfect acidity.
Still a kiss of unintegtarted oak. Better in 12 months.

Deep purple in color with a reddish rim.
Strong nose of black currants, plums, cooked blackberries, toasted oak, light vanilla, tobacco leaf, bell pepper, celery, vegetables, barnyard, tar, herbs, chocolates, peppercorn, spices and earth.
Full bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with black plums, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, spices, earth, tobacco leaf, tar, bitter vegetables, dark chocolates, coffee, peppercorn and green herbs.
Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a very nice Syrah from Israel. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel and nice complexity.
Showing lots of fruits with earth and vegetable notes. Feels very much like a young Northern Rhone.
Still young and needs time to mature, but already very nice. Showing lots of potential. In the next 7 to 10 years, this can get to 93-94 points with proper cellaring.
This Single Vineyard needs time to open up. I gave it 3 hours, and that's when it starts to shine.
A good quality wine that can last for many years.
Good by itself and with food. I paired it with cheeses and crackers. Went very nicely with the brie cheese.
100% Syrah grapes were aged in French oak barrels for 15 months. This series is made only in special vintages, when the fruit is prime. Only 5,000 bottles produced, this is bottle number 1,682. Kosher. Not Mevushal.
14% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Last night I had the pleasure of opening the 2016 Domaine Jean-Claude Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru "Clos Saint-Jean", Cóte-Dor, France.
On the nose are notes of cherry, raspberry, strawberry, clove, hibiscus, vanilla, hints of smokey oak and forest floor.
On the palate the is cherry, raspberry, cranberry, hibiscus, spice, lighly licorice, mushroom and earth.
This wine is beautifully medium to medium + body with medium + acidity and medium fine supple tannins that leads into a wonderful long fresh red fruit earthy finish. Today starts another week of meetings and working hard to enable ourselves to enjoy the weekend that brings us joy and relaxation. Please have a wonderful week and stay safe and healthy.
