I’ve had three bottles of this in the cellar for the last few years and, for no particular reason, haven’t touched them. Tonight I thought I’d pull the cork on one to enjoy with Manchego and Serrano ham, as an appetiser ahead of some Spanish cuisine at home tonight. I can’t recall where I bought these, but they weren’t expensive - and this wine certainly overdelivers for the price. It has a classical, fresh bouquet of blanched almonds, nectarines, and clementines. The palate is medium bodied, juicy, saline and fresher still, with a hint of orange bitters on the finish. Enjoyable stuff! — 7 months ago
Last had 4ish years ago. On cork pop was concerned this had not come together. But decanted for an hour and this became quite seamless and delicious. Definitely on the fuller bodied end of the spectrum. Dark red and some black fruit, nice body, excellent acid on the finish married to quite present but integrated tannins. Excellent with a roast chicken with mushrooms cooked in the chicken fat. — 2 months ago
Muted dark fruits on the nose and palate. White pepper with a touch of cigar box on the finish. Balanced and firm. — 2 years ago
Pepper and blackberry on the nose. Lots of acid upfront. Slate on the mid palate with a quick hint of pomegranate. Really soft body. Slow buildup of heat on the finish. Pretty nice and balanced with lots of nuance. — 3 years ago
Deep ruby in color; cherries, raspberries, and cedar on the nose; medium plus acidity; medium tannins; tastes like stewed strawberries, hibiscus, orange peel, and clay pots with a medium finish. I like it and Nellie does too. — 2 months ago

On the nose lots of fruits blackberry, blueberry, and raspberry flowers by backing spices, leather, and ground pepper. And the same follows on the pallet. Very dry for me normally not a Grenache fan but this is yummy for sure. — 21 days ago
