Lovely aromas of red fruits and subtle hints of bell pepper. Light on the palate with tart cranberry and some underlying vegetal notes. A perfect summer red!! — 9 months ago
Moric’s Hausemarke (house wine) Super Natural sounds like a late night Austrian infomercial and tastes like chunky peach vanilla soft serve. The label is a deliberate misnomer - this is definitely not house wine.
It’s beautifully aromatic with well integrated oak, orchard fruits, lime, and white pepper.
Mostly Gruner - about 30% Chardonnay. Crisp and clean. — 5 years ago
What’s not to like about this BDX blend from WA! Not overdone or overextracted (oak definitely there but integrated) but very generous aromatics & flavors on palate. Red & black fruit, warm spice, distinct cassis, minerality & earthiness like loam & soil goodness. Sturdy tannins, bit hi ABV - sometimes lumbering, but a really impressive & persistent finish. Jarvis will always have a special place in my heart and in the wine scene. To believe this was first made my Will Javis in 8th grade as a science project is iconic. You can taste the difference in using fresh oak barrels. This Cabernet franc would pair really well with lamb chops or a ribeye, Camembert cheese, or even some fire roasted veggies. — 7 months ago
Mild pear on the nose. It starts crisp and acidic with citrus. Long, dry finish with more of a pear and apple finish. — 5 years ago
Once again, they were out of the wine I ordered and offered this. Once again, a nice choice. Great with the braised pork shank. — 4 months ago
Insane QPR. Comparable with a lot of $75 WA reds for 1/3 price. Well done, and aging well. — 4 months ago
Funky fun. High sulfur. Barnyard funk 101. Would never know it’s a SavBlanc. This is great stuff. Has to be part of The Trustfall. #doloresoutpost — 5 years ago
Really enjoyed this. Bright fruit, leather, a hint of brett to keep things interesting. — 6 years ago

Golgotha - Scholium Project 2010.
Widowmaker Block Hudson Vineyards.
Abe, the man who would be king, gifted this bottle (amongst many others) to me after being an Intern in 2013. They travelled from Napa to London to Western Australia.
15 years later on a Monday night of a week I wasn’t meant to be drinking…
I pulled it out of the wine fridge in Margaret River. Cork fresh as a daisy and some decent sediment on first pour. Aerated with Vinturi and poured. Some early VA blew away and a Star Was Born. The floral powderiness on my mid palate is intoxicating. Never before have I tasted a big inky, 15% delicate ballerina like this. So glad I opened it alone so we can have a week together understanding each other. Has to be Petite Syrah. Wine study X 1000 ♥️ Pretty Pimpin — a month ago
