Decanted for 11/2 hrs.
First night w new glasses. Grassl Cru.
N: Ridiculous chocolate bar, strawberries, tar, savory herbs,( marjoram, rosemary, thyme, take your pick),bark and underbrush, alc.
P:Nice acid, tannin balance, though tannins are upfront. Savory elements, prickly oak, (more muted in the Spiegelau Burgs), Nothing red here, brown and dense, some cinnamon/cocoa. As it sits out, definite mushroom/porcini/forest qualities emerge.

If I could I would give it a 9.35. This is the 4th bottle I have over several years and it keeps on evolving in a positive way. Nose is terrific and fruit, acidity and tannins are melting together. I still have 2 so probably the last one will be at peak 🤞 — 13 days ago
Good Chianti, but not extraordinary. This wine is ready to drink immediately upon opening, making it a good restaurant choice. The wine did not last long: if decanted, it will lose its flavor, and I do not believe it will age any longer. Good classic Chianti flavor including leather and cherry followed by an astringent bite in the long finish. — 12 days ago

Well balanced at this stage. Still a good amount of fruit there. — a day ago
