Displays a distinctive personality on the nose and palate. It’s a leanish, mineral-driven expression of Chardonnay. Hints of ginger and lanolin combine with taught acidity. Sweetness is light to moderate. Very little oak to talk about, mostly steely. This will partner perfectly with sushi, but it does need a wingman. — 21 days ago
Mount Eden's Chardonnay grapes are harvested when slightly yellow to yellow-green and are pressed without crushing. All of the juice is barrel-fermented in new and one-year-old French Burgundy barrels, where the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged on the lees for ten months prior to bottling. The Chardonnay is then cellared for two years before being released. — a month ago
Medium garnet color with a nose of strawberries and tart cherries. It also has floral and cola notes. Very smooth with nice fruit. I think it is a drink now wine. Give it longer and it will flatten out. Very nice. Had with my father and mother-in-law with pork chops. Did scotch and cigars before dinner so hopefully my palate is accurate on this. A fun time with family. My favorite aspect of wine is its attachment to positive memories. Definitely had that as we enjoyed this wine. — 20 days ago
This is the Artazu Pasos de San Martin Navarra, a varietal Garnacha. A bit sleepy before it gets air, it gradually Benjamin Buttons and develops a terrifically pure nose of kirsch and raspberry ooze, along with crushed rock dust and sandalwood. In the mouth it’s got intense fruit, but is laser-focused and has excellent acids. Zero flab.
Just enough tannin to package it all. Really nice rendition of Grenache. — 24 days ago
