Boy, when you’re emerging from Covid does that taste GOOD. it’s just a SS Treixadura but w homemade Picatta, yum. It’s big, yellow, very yellow. My taste is askew as well, but w salt, olive oil, tomatoes and Basil, we’ll call it Spa-Ital. minerals chock full. Not complex but perfect. — 4 months ago
100% Treixadura, which I'm pretty sure I've never heard of before today. Fruit forward aromas that come through on the palate... ripe cantaloupe, peach, and a touch of honey... along with some nonfruit/mineral notes almost verging on the petrol of a Riesling. A lush body from the ripe fruits balanced by lemony acidity to keep it light and refreshing. "springtime and sunshine in a bottle" -MM #rootscase — 6 months ago
Elegant white blend of Albariño and other less well known white grape varietals. Nice and refreshing. Will definitely be a regular in the rotation. — 2 months ago
A big, silky white with prominent non-friut aromas... floral (almost petrol), herbs and minerals... and hints of yellow apple and lemon. Lush on the palate with some citrus acid and lingering minerals. Paired with halibut cheeks over chevre-sauced pasta. Happy birthday to me!! — 5 months ago
Top stuff reminded me of more skin trebbiano jaune ripe stone fruits — 7 months ago
El Paraguas Atlántico, from Ribeiro, Spain, is a blend of Treixadura with 9% Godello and 3% Albariño. The wine is very round with peach, melon and some citrus flavours. It is straw yellow and very fresh. — 7 months ago
This is a surprise. I did an educated pick from a wine store that doesn’t have the best selection. Very nice Albariño. It has all of the characteristics you would expect. Definitely a wine region that casual wine drinkers should look for. If you only drink Chardonnay, try this. I love the saline finish to this wine, like a flavor you would find in a good sherry. Light body, a delicious amount of acid, grapefruit and nectarines, and I get chalk, which is not common, maybe it’s me, but I get chalk in Albariño wine. Look people, drink more Albariño. — 3 months ago
