Viñas del Cenit

Cenit Vino de la Tierra de Zamora Tempranillo 2009

With tomorrow eve 5.12 in mind (gourmetten) already opened this bottle.
Really fancy this powerhouse though I never bought it again after this vintage. Have to find a new release. At 13 year only structure gives away any aging. Nose full of chocolate and dark cherries. In the mouth sweets of vanilla, fudge and darkberries. Yummie wine!

Vino de la Tierra Castilla y León Pegaso Barrancos de Pizarra Red Blend 2014

Enticing & seductive with spicy, fresh red fruit, with some ripe cherry, a touch of amarena and a fresh, mineral edge. So fresh, lively, inviting.
Light yet luscious on the palate, vibrant juicy cherry acidity. Love the tannins - grippy yet sappy and quite polished.
Cherries & raspberries with a orange peel sidekick. Delicious.
This is a great wine - authentic & so fresh & juicy yet elegant at the same time.
You just gotta love Gredos.

Venison stew? Sounds tasty. Did you take the deer or is this a grocery store item in the Netherlands?

@John Bratincevic I got the venison direct from the hunter, John. Around the corner from me there is a deer farm.

Herbaceous, and slightly vegetal. Good fruit/acid balance. Screams for some bivalves in a cream sauce — 3 years ago
