Estay Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León Prieto Picudo

I love it. You can tell it's Spanish, but the rest is a bit unfamiliar. Such nice fruity notes over Iberian earthiness. Absolutely love it. — 6 years ago

VS Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León Tempranillo Blend 2012

Powerhouse from Spain. A bit too much for me but I can imagine that the admirers of these kind of wines will really love it. — 25 days ago

Dehesa la Granja Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León Tempranillo 2004

I’m a sucker for Spanish Tempranillo. This wine seems less fruity and simultaneously more tannic than what I normally have. But still delicious. This is my first non Rioja Tempranillo. This is from the Castilla and Leon region. Typical? I’m eager to find out. — 3 years ago

Vino Rosado

I don’t know what it is about this wine, or rosé in general for that matter... I want to like it as it feels elegant and fresh on the fore pallet, I want to love it as a matter of fact, but it seems as if there are hallow particles in the liquid after the mid pallet. There is something hiding in it, it is somewhere in there but my pallet just doesn’t grasp it! Then, towards the middle of the glass, bottle possibly, it all comes together like the latter part of a Frank Schubert cello piece and reminds me that I need to try more rosé wine. — 4 years ago

Vino de la Tierra de Castilla y León Prieto Picudo 2011

So fresh. Reminds me of Gamay at first. Deep dark red. Quite tannic dark berries black cherries hint cedar chalky a touch bitter. This has years to go. Needs many hours of decanting. Bottle 170 out of ? Very small production. From Max Kogod. — 4 years ago

This is bright cherry like Pinot?

Just tried cherries and this wine side by side yes it is bright cherry 🍒 but very tannic as well with a touch of funk so in that regard different from some classic burgundy driven by cherry. In Cali wines cherry is rare.
