Poured into a decanter about two hours before service; no formal notes. The 2018 Montevertine is a bit of a show-off with bright, flashy ripened cherries, porchini, red flowers, dusty earth and orange peel. Significant structure should allow for a hearty life. The finish is full of class. This has to be the aspiration of every Chianti Classico. — 20 days ago
Left over from a friend which was open for a couple of days (but vacuum and chilled). This wine definitely needs more bottle age. Acidity, tannins and fruit are all over the place. But don’t get me wrong, still a fantastic wine, the best is yet to come! — 18 days ago
Deep ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry, minerality, dark chocolate, coffee. On the palate, cherry, anise, minerals, cedar. Medium finish of same. Full body, strong, chewy tannins. — a day ago
Wonderfully rich Super Tuscan. — 2 days ago
Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc & Petit Verdot, aged 18 months in French oak (50%new), deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits with toasty oak notes. On the palate flavors of blackberry and cherry with smoke, tar and sweet spice. This is a full-bodied red that wraps thickly over the palate, showing rich density and concentration along the way. Firm tannins, medium+ finish ending with ripe fruit and toasty oak character. — 3 days ago
53% merlot, 38% cabernet franc, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% petit Verdot. Dark and restrained at the outset with touch of bitter orange, anise, smoke. This is followed by a light acidity and smooth but brief finish. — 18 hours ago

Bright cherry flavors, incredible balance, super long lasting, wonderful harmonious finish. Best i have ever like a Sangiovese dominant wine. What a special treat. — 10 days ago
