Sonoma Syrah

Ridge Vineyards

Geyserville Sonoma County Zinfandel Blend 2008

16 years old. Can a Geyserville get silky? Hell ya. Still too fruity and syrupy to be perfect… but… still fruity wow! Happy 4th bbq! — 9 days ago

Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir

Oh Failla how I’ve missed you ❤️. I remember my tasting visit on the verandah and Ehren walking in through the front. This was back in 2013 when I was working as an intern for Abe Schoener at The Scholium Project. Magical times, magical wine found in my small Australian hometown. 2021 at $110 Australian and worth every dollar ❤️ — 17 days ago

Silver Oak

Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2019

I have only had the Napa valley version before. The Napa seems more dense and concentrated but my only comparison was a 2007 that is beautiful. — 21 days ago

Flowers Vineyard & Winery

Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir 2022

Light ruby red color. Ripe red berry and cherry fruit on the nose with additional notes of cola and sweet baking spices. Bright red cherry fruit leads the palate with hints of tobacco, pine and those sweet baking spices. Nice mineral component on the medium-long finish. Fine grained tannins. Fresh and earthy. — 3 days ago

Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon 2003

Unbelievable, incredibly smooth with low acid, cherry notes at the tail end. Great vintage — 15 hours ago

Beringer Vineyards

Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Lovely balanced cab from one of my favorite vineyards. It used to be my daily drinker until Beringer doubled the price. Got this one at Costco for $14 and it drinks like a classic $30 Napa Cab. Finished the last glass after bottle was open for 3 days and it was highly enjoyable! great bouquet and long aftertaste. — 5 days ago

Williams Selyem

Russian River Valley Pinot Noir 2020

A blend from several vineyards, including Middle Reach, Green Valley, Santa Rosa Plain, and the Laguna Ridge area. Bright Ruby color, purple edges, with aromas of ripe fruits, floral and complex spice. On the palate concentrated flavors of raspberry, cherry and currants with pepper, tea, herbs, vanilla and oak, aged on French oak, soft tannins on well balanced structure. Full body, rich long finish, ending with spice, ripe fruit and oaky tones. Very Nice! — 10 days ago

A. Rafanelli

Unfiltered Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel 2006

I pulled this from the cellar on Father’s Day; toasting the year I became a dad. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2006 pours a deep ruby color with a near opaque core and a magenta rim; medium+ viscosity with faint staining of the tears and lots of fine sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of tart dark fruits: brambles, montmornecy cherries, tobacco, dry earth, and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and zippy with tongue smacking acid. The 2006 Rafanelli Zinfandel is in a seriously great spot right now and well stored examples should hold in this position easily through the rest of this decade. Great with pizza. Drink now through 2031+. — 24 days ago
