Always liked past vintages. The ‘18 doesn’t disappoint. Smooth with a good dose of vanilla., and mellow tannins. Their signature style. And still a great value, too. — 14 days ago
This is the best Syrah I have had in a long time. Surprisingly, the color is on the lighter side like a northern Rhône and has a subtle nose. Cherries, blackberries, leather, charcoal, earth, and smoke combine into an incredible taste profile with no tannins whatsoever. Only needed about 15 minutes of air to reach this level of flavor. Wish I had more than one bottle remaining. — 9 days ago
A museum release from the winery - I bought this at a Shaw and Smith tasting in Brisbane a few years ago. An asparagus note initially which blew off. Asian spices, raspberry, earthy mineral notes on nose, carrying through to the medium to full bodied palate. A nice balance between cool climate and warm climate characteristics. Finishes with a little astringency. — 21 days ago
Great for the price. Smooth and delicious. — 8 days ago
Light golden in color and very pretty.
Strong nose of citrus, lemons, yellow apples, diesel, spices, minerals, light tropical fruits, sea salt and pineapples.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity, crisp and creamy.
Dry on the palate with lemons, citrus, apples, pears, light diesel, pineapples, white pepper, light earth, herbs and spices.
Long tangy finish with limes and black pepper.
This is a very tasty Riesling from Napa Valley. Showing nice complexity with a nice mouthfeel. Nicely balanced and rich.
Although easy to drink, it is more of thinking wine. A good quality wine with lots to offer. The spicy finish makes it interesting.
Very expressive right out of the bottle, and calmed down after 30 minutes of airtime. Better when not too cold.
This 4 year old is drinking so fresh, and I love that. Would age nicely in the next 10 years. One of the better dry Rieslings that I had from California. Has the potential to be a 94+ point wine.
Good by itself or with food. I had it all by itself by the pool.
12.8% alcohol by volume.

Nez légèrement évolué sur lamande amère. Arôme inattendu de violette. Beaucoup de matière en bouche. Agrumes. Belle longueur et encore beaucoup de panache — 7 days ago
We now resume our regular programming. Maybe the 2016 needed a little more time but it just had too much pepper to it. 2017 is your classic Charles smith Rhone style. Bold fruit, long spicy finish. This is the only wine I buy by the case besides last year... time to place an order — 6 days ago
Releases an incredible perfume of flowers, berries, pastels, potpourri, lead pencil, and graphite (w a hint of sautéed wild mushrooms on day 2) ~ cherry, blueberry, and blackberry flavors gain richness in the glass leading to a pain grillé and cocoa puff finish!
Will easily develop over the next 5-10 years w over a decade of plateau following BUT delivers plenty of enjoyment now as well
