This is probably the boldest of Goyo Garcia Viadero’s single-vineyard wines. 100% Tempranillo from a very old vineyard at 800m elevation in Anguix on predominantly clay soils. Fermented with indigenous yeasts. Deep color. Intense nose with aromas of dark fruit, cedar and hints of menthol/medicinal notes. Medium to full-bodied. Serious, concentrated, quite tannic. Good freshness, pleasant to drink. — 9 months ago
This time around was a winner! Fruit and soft tannins. — 3 years ago
Took a sideways step on a sunny London day and decided to open this; a previous commentator mentioned that it had 15% Albillo in it and that perhaps accounts for the smoothness it has, immediately complicated by rich kirsch cherries. Drinking pretty well right now and could conceivably take another couple years to really show what it can do. — 4 months ago
Such rustic and funky wine! Love it. Pale color, forest floor, red fruits, and foxy. Good acidity and saline taste, medium length. Decant it at least an hour. — 10 months ago
Serious, sophicasted, one to impressive, parents dinner party, old school, big and spicy — 3 years ago
