Powdery that turns to creamy and quickly leaves cherry with a nice dry finish. Dark in color and complex in taste. Slight brine with an astringent aftertaste — a month ago
My contribution for a large, annual BYO champagne dinner. While this was a standout, others were: La Closerie LC20, ‘07 Cristal rosé en mag, ‘19 Westborn BdB
This vintage had 20% addition of red wine.
The notes below about bottle variation is exactly what was experienced this evening. A friend also brought the ‘06 Dom Rosé but there was a clear difference between the two. Whereas my bottle was deep, rich and an interplay of florals, juicy red fruits, fleshy peach and strawberry shortbread cookies, his seemed like a slightly less vibrant (not off putting) and more muted version (maybe low trace TCA?). The significant portion of red wine in this vintage has provided great structure at nearly age 20, and not as evolved as the regular 2006 Dom (more vinous than the creamy ‘07 Cristal rosé).
If I had another, I’d open it in the next year or two for this same profile but wouldn’t be worried about holding another 5+. — 12 days ago
We really enjoyed this. — 7 days ago
Popped open on the night of college football championship game. I honestly thought the U would pull it off at the last second and kick the winning extra point as the expired.
Oh well… at least this is enjoyable as always. My reference point for rose Champaign. — 6 days ago
Pale salmon color, small, delicate bubbles. Aromas of strawberries, lemon zest and grapefruit. What a solid NV champagne, red berry flavors, lemon and stone fruit on the palate.
🍇45% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir and 20% Pinot Meunier.

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Best on Day 2. The 2023 Amador County pours a bright, deep straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart orchard fruit: peach, lemon, tangerine, white flowers, lanolin, and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is waxy. Obviously young but I can’t help but feel that these Chenin’s from Tegan just keep getting better and better. Drink now through 2039. — 11 days ago
