Mineral-driven, preserved lemon peel, dry herbal complexity. Great stuff! — 5 months ago
Good Sercial with dark brown cloudy color. Unremarkable nutty flavor but good QPR. A good buy for its price. — 8 months ago
So much like brandy but so good. Light sweetness and a whiskey-like finish. Our first Madeira ... great introduction. — 2 years ago

Off dry, lots of complexity on the nose and palate, lovely acidity, dried fruit, nuts, baking spice, and so much more. — 6 months ago
The Madeira Charleston Sercial Special Reserve is a light-bodied, floral Maderia. Dried flowers, mint, cinnamon, pine, cedar and mint are nicely delineated. Vineyards at elevation yield grapes that are harvested late at relatively lower sugars, yielding a Madeira that is especially dry. There’s good complexity here. The Sercial is a fine choice for readers who appreciate the drier style of Madeira. L22136. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, December 2022)

Powerful and rich, carmelized nuts, old fashioned fruit, marsdchino cherry and orange zest, just a hint of maple syrup on a dryish satisfying finish 🎉 — a year ago
