Big bold, filled with dark fruit. A perfect wine to pair with a meal…. Enjoyed every sip. — 15 days ago
Huge wine. Good example of the richer SE style. — 12 days ago
2010 fest. The nose on this after 1.5 hrs was out of this world with musty spiced sexy truffle scents. On the palate it had a medium body, medium alcohol, medium tannins and you know where this is going: ultra balanced, classic old world feel full of rich character that never disappoints. Cheers. — a month ago
2005 vintage. Decanted and open for 3.5 hours before tasting. Intense and spicy richness in the frontal palate/gums. Harmonious the rest of the journey. Very very close to opening the door to the hall of mirrors and entering the "zone" of optimal drinking. Still pretty youthful and no rush to crush. At least two decades of gorgeous enjoyment ahead. Even the greatest wines change themselves in the looking glass. 5.17.23. — 18 days ago
Dark purple from core to rim. Inviting nose of plum and blueberry cobbler. Medium full palate confirms the nose adding an undertone of balsa wood and graphite. Medium acidity. Medium dusty tannins. More excellence from the Count! 2016 was a classic vintage and this is a classic example of what the appellation can do. Drinking wonderfully now, but should reward cellaring through at least 2031. — a month ago

2 hour decant(tons and tons of sediment). A remarkable dark garnet with little bricking. On the nose: showy perfumed nose of dark plum, clove, soy sauce, funky earth, sweet spice. Taste: smooth, mouthcoating, concentrated, rich wine with ripe plum, cassis, leather, bitter chocolate, and a long dry spicy earthy finish...ripe fruit and a seriously extracted style at 14.5% alc. — 3 days ago
